I’m a single mom who works 60 hours a week at my job. I make about $24/hr before tax which equals out to be $1200 per week (or 40 hrs x 50 cents).

But when I factor in 45% of the money goes towards taxes ($520) then it really only amounts to me making ~$680 every two weeks or so (~$140per day).

So if we say I am earning 15×365=5730 for the year then I would need to work ~4875 hours (5730-1200) or about  weeks in order to make $23.50 per hour before taxes.
